This February break get out of the house and head to Lawson Heights Mall for Winter Break Escape!

February 18 - 20, join us for fun activities each day! From painting to princesses, Ag in the City, and reptiles, there's something for everyone!

Space is limited for certain activities, so make sure to register early. Activities with limited number of spaces are $5. All proceeds collected during the week will be donated to Haven House for Kids.

If a performance is full, make sure to check back in case families have a change of plans. Registration will remain open until the event time just in case!


Tuesday, February 18

Reptile, Fossil, and Entomology Exhibit Take a walk through this informative and interactive display that will teach you and your kids all about reptiles and bugs! Stick around and catch the live reptile show, you might even get to hold a snake! 

This is a come and go exhibit from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, no registration required.


Live Reptile Shows

Have you ever wanted to hold a snake? How about pet a lizard? Now is your chance during one of the two live reptile shows! Check one out at 

11:30 - 12:00 pm and 2:15 - 2:45 pm

No registration required.


Art Class with The Art Room ink brought to you by Kreative Mum

Let your creative juices flow and let the talented instructor inspire you! You never know the creative project you will unearth when you take part in a class from The Art Room ink! Class designed for ages 7 - 10+.

Location: Across from The Community Hive (the old Bodyshop)

Meet a Sports Hero Here's your chance to meet one of the players of the Saskatchewan Rush up close and personal. Snag an autograph and get your picture with these incredible athletes who play Saskatchewan's provincial sport lacrosse! PLUS just for fun the Blades mascot PokeCheck is tagging along too!

Ag in the City Saskatchewan's roots are in agriculture and it's important to know where our food comes from and the people who grow and raise it! The next generation must learn to care about food and the people who produce it. Hold a baby chick, learn to make butter and climb into a Kubota!

Join us 10:00 am - 3:00 pm to learn from experts in the industry through hands-on activities about where our food comes from.

During your visit make sure to take part in our scavenger hunt! Pick up a scavenger hunt card from the table in front of Sunrise Records. Search throughout the mall looking for pictures of commodities and exploring the agriculture booths. Bring your completed card back and enter to win our Winter Break giveaway!

Stepping Stones & Saskatchewan Odyssey

The Saskatchewan Odyssey

This fun, family-centred two-hour event focuses on strengthening literacy skills and knowledge. Explore our beautiful province with family literacy activities to complete along the way including:

- Design a tourism ad for your own backyard.

- Skip your way across Saskatchewan.

- Flex your memory muscles with a Weird and Wonderful match game.

- And so much more!

Designed for elementary-aged children and their families.

Stories & Stepping Stones Focusing on strengthening early literacy skills and knowledge. Families with young children can play and learn together at activity stations including Brown Bear Yoga, Race Car Estimating, Alphabet Twister, Sort It Out Treasure Hunt, and more.

Designed for 3-5 year olds and their families.

Princess Sing-a-long & Dance with the Snow Sisters and their Frosty Friend from Tangled in Tiaras

Have you ever dreamed of meeting the "Snow Sisters"? Now is your chance! Join us to sing and dance with these famous princesses! Don't forget to dress up because you're a princess (or prince) too!

Don't forget to bring your camera to capture this magical meeting.

Learn to Dance, Move & Pound with Dancepiration Studio

12:30 - 1:00 pm - Princess Dance (Pre-dance skills) - We will be learning basic steps of ballet and classic dance styles with Disney princesses background music. Designed for ages 2 - 4.

1:15 - 1:45pm Movement - A set of activities and games that will increase flexibility, training balance, coordination and muscle strength. Designed for ages 5 - 7.

2:00 - 2:30 pm - Generation Pound - Youth fitness program that uses music and movement to help kids improve their physical fitness, coordination, and teamwork skills while having a ROCKing good time! Everything done to the beat of music and a pair of Ripstix (lightly weighted exercise drumsticks). Learn more about generation pound & the movement to change the concept of health and fitness for youth here. Designed for ages 8 - 10.


Meet a Sports Hero Meet one of the members from the 9X WWCFL Champion team the Saskatoon Valkyries. This is Saskatoon's ONLY elite women's football team.
