This February break get out of the house and head to Lawson Heights Mall for Winter Break Escape!

February 17 – 19, join us for fun activities each day! From painting to Spidey Friends, Ag in the City, and reptiles, there's no shortage of fun!

Space is limited for certain activities, so make sure to register early. Activities with limited number of spaces are $5. All proceeds collected during the week will be donated to Haven House for Kids.

If an activity is full, make sure to check back in case families have a change of plans. Registration will remain open until the event time just in case!


Tuesday, February 17

Art Class with The Art Room ink brought to you by Kreative Mum

Let your creative juices flow and let the talented instructor inspire you! You never know the creative project you will unearth when you take part in a class from The Art Room ink! Class designed for ages 7 - 10+.

Choose from one of two time slots

11:30 – 12:30 pm

1:00 – 2:00 pm

Location: Across from Coles

*Registration Required Limited spots available. Registration fee is $5. All proceeds collected to be donated to Haven House for Kids.*

Drop In Pencil Case Making & Bracelet Making

Drop in and decorate your own pencil case using Pebo paint markers then make you and a friend matching friendship bracelets.

Find this activity located across from La Vie en Rose from 11:00 am – 2:30 pm

Wednesday, February 18

Reptile, Fossil, and Entomology Exhibit 

Take a walk through this informative and interactive display that will teach you and your kids all about reptiles and bugs! Stick around and catch the live reptile show, you might even get to hold a snake!

This is a come and go exhibit from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, no registration required. Find them located at the West end of the mall near Safeway.


Live Reptile Shows

Have you ever wanted to hold a snake? How about pet a lizard? Now is your chance during one of the two live reptile shows! Check out one of two shoes

11:45 - 12:15 pm and 2:00 - 2:30 pm

No registration required. Find them located at the West end of the mall near Safeway.


Spidey Friends Superhero Training

Join us for a super-powered day filled with superhero training, web-slinging practice, and games like Pin Spidey on the Web! Kids will meet the Spider Friends, test their Spidey skills, and enjoy an action-packed day of heroic fun." maybe? a more polished option it gave me is "Spend the day training like a superhero with the Spider Friends! This interactive event includes superhero training activities, web-slinging practice, Pin Spidey on the Web, and plenty of opportunities for fun, games, and heroic memories.

Thursday, February 19

Ag in the City 

Saskatchewan's roots are in agriculture and it's important to know where our food comes from and the people who grow and raise it! The next generation must learn to care about food and the people who produce it. Hold a baby chick, learn to make butter and climb into a Kubota!

Join us 10:00 am - 3:00 pm to learn from experts in the industry through hands-on activities about where our food comes from.

Scavenger Hunt

During your visit make sure to take part in our scavenger hunt! Pick up a scavenger hunt card from the table in front of Sunrise Records. Search throughout the mall looking for pictures of commodities and exploring the agriculture booths. Bring your completed card back and enter to win our Winter Break giveaway!

PayDay, PlayDay

1:00 - 3:00 pm

Location: Across from Coles

Family teams build their financial literacy skills in fun and innovative ways. Try a giant board game to test your spending habits, assemble a giant floor puzzle to explore career options, build a tower of blocks to learn about credit and debt, make a duct tape wallet, and more! The activity passport lets families keep track of where they have been and where they need to go!
